Benelli has incorporated a stylish and at the same time an aggressive touring weapon within a small two wheeler. It bears all the essence of a true Benelli, even from its very first look. BN 302 is powered by 300cc, liquid-cooled, vertical, twin-cylinder engine. The engine shares many design features from the 600cc engine of BN 600. It churns out 28 kW of maximum power @ 10000 rpm and a peak torque of 27.4 Nm @ 9000 rpm. It uses race spec NGK CR8E spark plugs for maximum output. Engine is mated with a 6-speed gearbox, which transmits the power to the rear wheels using a chain drive. BN 302 has a under body exhaust system with catalytic converter and oxygen sensors with Euro 3 certification.
Steel Trellis frame constitute the main chassis of this bike made from steel tubes. In some variants, this frame work is red painted to give an aggressive, sturdy looks. The suspension system of this bike consists of rear swing arm with lateral shock absorber at the rear with a travel of 46 mm and USD forks are used at the front with a travel of 135 mm. The rear suspension consists of hydraulic brake and spring pre-load adjustment for further advancement. Disc brakes at both the end enhances the braking force of BN 302. Double floating 260 mm disc with 4 piston caliper at the front and 240 mm disc with double piston caliper at the rear provides a good stopping force for the bike.
To increase the comfort level, a narrow waist-plush saddle with a wide handlebar is used. It will make long distance commuting more comfortable.
