Increased no. of competitors in the same class forced the company to go for a total update. The 2015 edition has got even engine alterations. Now the engine is more powerful with decreased friction. The bike is powered by a 1199cc, Forward-inclined parallel 2-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, DOHC, 4-valves engine delivering a peak power of 82.4 kW (112PS) @ 7,250 rpm and a peak torque of 117.0 Nm (11.9 kg-m) @ 6,000 rpm. The engine is mated with a Constant Mesh, 6-speed transmission.

The all new updated stuff gets loaded with new features such as new LED signals, a new cruise control, heated grips, tapered alloy bars and risers, new muffler cover, redesigned multi-function LCD gauge, and a four-way adjustable windscreen.

Apart from the standard variant, there is a new model, the Super Tenere ES. It features KYB electronic suspension system featuring push-button adjustable preload and damping settings. The Tenere ES is priced $17,499,which is $1000 more than that of the Standard model.
